Do you want to have the longest 1 second? Try planking.
I started planking recently for two reasons: 1. I can't swim in NY like I did in Mexico. 2. I need to do something about the gradually increasing fat around my torso due to aging (나잇살). I have a lower back (SI joint) and knee pain so I had to carefully choose an exercise. After some online research, I found elbow planks are the best (planks on hands are easier than on elbows). They are simple, brief, yet, intense and unlikely to injure my back. I use my iphone as a stopwatch and put it between my elbows.
On Day 1, I was able to do it for 30 seconds. (I used to do it a few years ago before I injured my back. So it wasn't too hard for me.)
From Day 2 to Day 5, I did it for 40 seconds.
Days 6 - 8: 50 seconds
Days 9-10: 1 minute
Day 11 (today): 1 minute 5 seconds (After this, I googled and learned I don't have to push myself too much. A 1-minute plank a day is considered to be good enough. Max also does it for 1 minute.)
Super weird how loooong the last few seconds feel! It's like I'm literally experiencing Einstein's theory of relativity. If you move, time passes more slowly.
