Disappointments

I have always been a pessimist. Life is a series of disappointments with occasional flukes. I haven't started working for B language school, but I already hate it. I am beginning to think they don't have any current clients and teachers for Korean. They must have hired me just in case, as a back-up. My trainer promised to introduce me to a Korean instructor two weeks ago and I haven't heard from her. Today I wasted my precious time listening to teachers talking about confusion with the system at their quarterly teachers' meeting. At the end of the meeting, I asked the trainer about my request and she said she's still working on it (Yeah, damn right). 

 

I got fired by Max (based on a mutual agreement). I was annoyed with random assignments and his bossiness and I criticized disorganization of the business, which eventually got to him. It's hard to completely separate myself as his wife from being his employee. There's a reason when people say not to mix business with family. He still needs my help and it looks like I am not going to be busy teaching Korean anytime soon so I am going to continue helping him out with simple tasks for a while. 

 

On the bright side, I am GRATEFUL for:

 - my good friend who is an experienced Korean instructor and has given me invaluable advice

 - an interpretor job that I am going to start training for on 6/12
