<Beef>, Kristen Stewart, etcMexico 2024 - 2024. 1. 16. 01:30
Max and I finished <Beef> last week and saw <Anatomy of a Fall> in NY last year. The Golden Globe reminded me to write about them. <Beef> was a kind of a surprise. We didn't have high expectations and Max was particularly put off by Ali Wong for some reason. I have to admit the two stars are not the most attractive people, but the story intrigued us from episode 1. The script was the winner. It realistically depicted Asian culture in America and the universal theme of what matters in life well. Not much to say about <Anatomy of a Fall>, except that it's a masterpiece. There's not a minute that felt boring. Max even said it's my kind of movie and I agree.
I just read this interview of Kristen Stewart and I've become a fan of hers. I always liked her look and media presence but I never watched <Twilight> (I liked <Spencer>). She went out all the way in this interview, maybe because the interviewer was also gay? She seems to be very confident and comfortable in her own skin. Fascinating to hear about Trump's obsessive tweets on her and Pattinson and Jodie Foster's op-ed in her defense when she got caught cheating (Trump is a lunatic, a true research subject).
How Kristen Stewart Became a Queer Trailblazer
As Kristen Stewart heads to the Sundance Film Festival with two new films, she reflects on being a queer trailblazer in Hollywood.

Here's a fascinating scandal on UK post office. It is super scary that some error in an accounting software lead hundreds of innocent people to unemployment, bankruptcy, even suicide. Also, it is hopeful that one TV show could bring justice for those people.
