I'm alive!

Nayarit/Puerto Vallarta

I arrived here in Mexico on 12/19 and had no energy to open the laptop, let alone write anything. I was depressed even in NY when I was packing for this annual winter trip. My lower back pain has been killing me and relief wasn't in sight as all the chairs in the airbnb had zero back support. In contrast to what the photo above suggests, I felt like I put myself in HELL by doing a lot of packing, spending a lot of money and lugging the cats all the way to this totally unknown territory. 

But over the last 2 weeks, things have settled down and I'm finally feeling like myself again. Max and I bought ourselves cheap but comfortable plastic chairs, which I hated to do because we will have to leave them in the airbnb when we move to San Miguelle de Allende by air on 2/10. But we needed to sit comfortably in order to work and teach classes and our well-being is the most important and thankfully we can afford it.
